Vu Thao
As a pioneer in sustainable fashion practice in Vietnam, designer Vu Thao believes that entering a new decade with special "values" creates the image of aspirational and meaningful fashion industry. In 2012, Vu Thao invented "Kilometer 109" as a sustainable apparel brand that commits to applying 100% materials procured from North-West ethnic localties, and is inspired by ethnic women's techniques of weaving silk, cotton, hemp or indigo dyeing,

Le Cat Trong Ly
Le Cat Trong Ly is a freelance musician-singer who is well-known by the unique and folk-resonate music gerne. Ly's songs are inspired by Vietnamese ancient folk melodies, and ethnic-originated songs. In 2022, Ly expected to implement a community-supporting project that is going throughout the country, collecting old lullabies, and songs of Vietnamese ethnic minorities.
Key people

Sam Thi Tinh
Born and grow up in the silk-weaving village in the Northern moutainous region, Sam Thi Tinh - a Thai ethnic young artist always has a passion to promote the cultural value of her minor compatriots domestically and internationally. In 2015, Sam Thi Tinh established "Hoa Tien Brocade" to bring her hometown's brocade products closer to the apparel market and a wide range of customers.

Réhahn
Réhahn is a French photographer based in Hoi An, Vietnam and well-known as the photographer that "captures souls". In 2017, Réhahn opened the Precious Heritage Art Gallery Museum with the goal of creating a single place to preserve the artifacts and costumes he'd been given by the chiefs of many tribes as well as to share the portraits, stories and musical traditions of the ethnic groups.

A cozy acoustic music show with Le Cat Trong Ly under the gorgeous Indigo-colored artworks. Besides, Ly will share her interesting stories when working with the ethnic minorities, and reveal her upcoming cultural community supporting project. After the music session, a fashion show with the latest indigo clothing collection from Kilomet 109 will be offered to the audience.

​Indigo Photography Collection by Réhahn

Photographer Réhahn spent 2-day-stay with the Thai ethnic community in Muong Lo basin, Nghia Lo town. Here, he had opportunity to capture the genuine daily life of indigenous people and their indigo dyeing process. Under the lens of Réhahn, traditional cultural values ​​and images of ethnic minorities have been shown vividly and authentically.
Besides, a documentary about Indigo culture and people would be demonstrated under a narration of "a culture explorer". The audience can lively contemplate the pure beauty of Indigo dyeing customs from the "Indigo-dyed hands" of ethnic artists.

Art Installation
The Highlights are complex Indigo art structures that requires sophisticated visual shaping techniques. Hundred of Indigo-dyed fabric sheets are sewn together and arranged in an unique and aesthetic way.

​Indigo Workshop
Duration: 3 hours
Capacity: 30 people/class session
A DIY Indigo Dye workshop in which the students would be instructed by a Thai ethnic artist - Sam Thi Tinh. The materials used in workshop are all nature-based and eco-friendly such as Hemp fabric and Furthermore, the participants can freely customize their Indigo crafts by drawing their favorite pattern on the fabric by melted beeswax. Hot dyeing technique is applied for quickier process.

An ingishtful talkshow with the participation of three special characters from different backgrounds but have the same passion in ethnic culture values. Specifically, the talkshow's guest speakers are Sam Thi Tinh - an Thai ethnic artist, Vu Thao - an sustainable fashion designer, and Réhahn - a culture-oriented photographer. After the sharing, the audience have opportunities to interact with the speakers in Q&A session.
